Bundi is well known for its step well reservoirs (or Baoris). Its forts, palaces are also an attraction for the tourists. Initially, the area around Bundi was inhabited by local tribes like Parihar Meena and Hada Rajputs. Bundi received its name from Bunda Meena the Meena King in the 11th century. Later it was occupied by the Rao Deva Hada who founded Hadoti (today’s Kota) and developed the area.
Climate: Its climate is very similar to Kota and Sawai Madhopur districts with neither too warm nor too cold winters.
